LITERS-PER-100KM OPTION
DESCRIPTION
The L/100KM (or LPH) option allows your Series 1000 system to calculate and maintain a
cumulative liters-per-100 kilometers or liters-per-hour* tally for a set number of your vehicles
(*NOTE: Liters-per-Hour is used when user equipment is monitored with an hour meter instead of
an odometer). The type of option, L/100KM or LPH, was determined when you ordered your
system. Also, the exact number of vehicles supported depends upon the limit specified when you
ordered your system. Vehicles in the system, but not in the vehicle file, are still permitted to fuel,
however, odometer/hours entries are not checked and L/100KM (or LPH) is not calculated.
Each vehicle in the file may be configured as to whether or not the system will calculate L/100KM
(or LPH) and execute a reasonable odometer/hours check on it. If this feature is disabled for a
vehicle record, the system will continue to update the total liters and odometer/hours entries, but
L100KM (or LPH) will not be calculated and a reasonable odometer/hours check will not be
executed.
L/100KM (or LPH) software computes fuel efficiency two ways: per transaction and averaged over
a period of time you determine (usually a month). To use the L/100KM (or LPH) option, you enter
information on your vehicles/equipment into vehicle records. These records are stored in a vehicle
file. The L/100KM (or LPH) option uses the vehicle data you enter plus calculated values to
provide total L/100KM (or LPH) information. The vehicle information for L/100KM is different than
that for LPH; both types are shown below.
The following information appears on vehicle file printouts for L/100KM:
VEH 3- to 6-digit vehicle number
B ODOM up to 6-digit beginning odometer reading
E ODOM up to 6-digit ending odometer reading (last recorded)
KLMS 6-digit kilometers driven
LITERS up to 8-digits for total liters for period
L/100 3 digits before and one after the decimal point indicating L/100KM value
STAT a record status code indicating L/100KM comments (for more on status
flags, see the VF command)
The following information appears on vehicle file printouts for LPH:
VEH 3- to 6-digit vehicle/equipment number
B HOURS up to 6-digit beginning hours reading
E HOURS up to 6-digit ending hours reading (last recorded)
A HOURS up to 6-digit new, accumulated hours
LITERS up to 8-digits for total liters for period
LPH 3 digits before and one after the decimal point indicating LPH value
STAT a record status code indicating LPH comments (for more on status flags,
see the VF command)
For both types, you can print out the vehicle file to view the vehicle number, beginning and ending
odometer/hours entries, the total number of kilometers/hours, the total number of liters, the liters
per 100 kilometers/liters-per-hour calculation (if enabled), and the record status.
